Designed specifically for the 1st year students across India, it is considered as one of the most ambitious and extensive quiz platforms which helps students develop their skills and gain hands-on-learning experience. The platform not only tests students knowledge but also gives them an opportunity to compete with students across the country and realize their true potential and understanding.
Elsevier India, a global information analytics provider, believes that the basic sciences subjects’ need special attention because they play a vital role in developing skills of future medicos. Medical students must be hence, encouraged to strengthen their subject expertise and skills in these areas. With precisely this thought, Elsevier India has launched one of the most popular Basic Sciences Olympiads in the field of Health Sciences- Elsevier’s Basic Sciences Olympiad (EBSO).
Only 1st year medical students in India are eligible for EBSO rewards & scholarship.
The Olympiad is based on 3 Basic Science subjects- Anatomy, Biochemistry, and Physiology.
The question paper will have 45 multiple choice questions to be attempted in 30 minutes.
Every question will have equal weight with no negative marking.
It is a single attempt test. You cannot Save and Exit from the Test, so please make sure that you Submit the test within the specified time.
Post-test every participant will receive a participation certificate at their registered email id’s.
Top 10 scorers from each college to be qualified for Round 2.
Top 3 winners in each college will get free Elsevier book.
This round has been bifurcated into Quiz & Essay Writing.
Quiz- There will be 30 MCQs to be attempted in 15 minutes.
Essay Writing- A general topic related to medical world would be given on the spot after the MCQ part for which you would be allotted 7 minutes. You have to type in the box given on the screen. You are not allowed to copy & paste.
